Privacy Policy

Short version: BeLike is local-first. Your workouts, bodyweight, progress and settings are stored only on your device — we never receive them. The only data that leaves your phone is what's strictly needed to process a purchase you make and to report a crash so we can fix it.

This policy explains what data BeLike ("the app", "we", "us") processes when you use it, and your choices. It applies to the BeLike Android application published on Google Play.

1. Data stored on your device only

By default BeLike works entirely offline with no account. The following is created and stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:

Your workouts, sets, reps, weights and rest times;
Bodyweight entries, progress, levels, streaks and achievements;
Settings, equipment, routines and cosmetic preferences.

You can export a backup file at any time; that file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it. Deleting the app, or clearing its storage, permanently removes this data.

2. Data processed by third parties

A small amount of data is processed by trusted service providers strictly for the purposes below. We do not sell your data and we show no ads.

We send no push messages, request no push token, and receive nothing when a reminder fires. Turning reminders off in Settings stops them entirely.

3. What we do NOT collect

No advertising or third-party tracking, and no advertising identifiers;
No analytics profiles, no location, no contacts, no photos;
No account, email or password (you can use the app without signing in);
No push messages and no push-notification token — every reminder is scheduled locally on your device.

4. Retention

On-device data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records are retained by Google and RevenueCat under their own policies (typically for the life of the purchase, for restore and legal/accounting purposes). Crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry for a limited period (generally up to 90 days) and then deleted.

5. Your rights

You can delete all on-device data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete the limited data held by our providers. To make such a request, follow the steps on our data deletion page, or email hello@youbelike.com and we will facilitate it with the relevant provider.

6. Children

BeLike is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
